American Horror Story: Coven has added another player to its already star-studded cast with the addition of Lance Reddick (The Wire, Lost, Fringe) for the remainder of Season 3.

EW.com reports that Reddick has joined Coven as Papa Legba and will appear on the show when it returns in January to finish its season. The character is described as the show's version of a "voodoo Satan" who plays a crucial part in the life of Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett). Reddick's character will be crucial to the final four episodes of the season.

Series creator Ryan Murphy told EW.com that fans would "find out that's how come Marie Laveau looks so good - because she sold her soul!"

Reddick's work on The Wire was spectacular, and he added even more mystery to Lost with his portrayal of Matthew Abaddon. He no doubt has the necessary chops to bring the appropriate creepiness to this role on Coven and should blend well with the existing characters.

The most recent episode of Coven ended with a shocker when Marie Laveau sent the head of Madame Delphine LaLaurie (Kathy Bates) back to the coven's house. The catch, of course, is that Madame LaLaurie is immortal, so she's still very much alive with her head and body now miles apart.

What do you think of this casting, Coven fans? Is there room for another character on this show? Let us know in the comments.
