T.I. puts 'Trouble Man II' on hold, talks new LP and deal with Columbia

Looks like T.I. has decided to take his Trouble Man II project in a different direction since he and Hustle Gang have signed to Columbia Records.

T.I. is currently working on his ninth solo LP and he has shelved his Trouble Man II: He Who Wears the Crown album, hopefully not for too long.

The rapper recently told MTV's RapFix Live, "I still have that album, that album isn't lost, I have that project as well. But the music that we began to create-- Pharrell, myself--so many others that have contributed between the time of then and now that the project is just taking a new shape."

Wonder what that means. Either way, we're excited to hear new music from Tip and the Hustle Gang.

The ATL trap rapper went on to describe his forthcoming LP as a "motion picture."

He says that the LP will have a "theatrical-worthy title. Something that will definitely seem instant classic. I'm thinking something like Trap Champion, Paperwork, but whatever it is the subtitle will be The Motion Picture."

Trouble Man II was originally slated as a follow up to his 2012 LP.

After releasing Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head last December, T.I. became a free agent and announced that he would release his next album through Columbia Records.

Whatever label he's on, T.I. never disappoints when it comes to new music so we're sure in upcoming projects will not disappoint.
