Wale threatens Complex Magazine, takes shots at Juicy J
Looks like K. Michelle isn't the only one who thinks they were snubbed when it comes to album recognition. Wale had a few choice words for Complex Magazine and it was nothing nice.
The MMG rapper seemingly kept his cool and refrained from Twitter, which was his Achilles heel, when he was left out to dry after the Grammys announced their 2014 nominations. Folarin was notably left out despite his platinum single "Bad," which was featured on his third LP The Gifted.
The Gifted debuted No. 1 on the Billboard charts. He and K. Michelle are in the same boat in that regard also. Everything was cool and Wale remained pretty quiet, that is until he got wind of Complex Magazine's year-end Best 50 Albums of the Year list.
Wale took it personal that he was left out...once again and decided to let the folks over at Complex know exactly how he felt.
During a phone call with the magazine, Wale questioned whether Juicy J's debut album, Stay Trippy, which showed up on the list at No. 27, was better than his. But it gets better. Wale then proceeded to threaten to show up at their offices and start "knocking n----s out."
Interesting that Wale chose Juicy of all people to single out. The two have collaborated numerous times this year, most notably on Juicy J's album ("Bounce It") and Folarin's "Clappers."
Wonder if Juicy J is gonna take any shots back at Wale. Listen to the full conversation below.
What do you think of Wale's rant? Do you think he was snubbed?
