Season 4 of HBO's smash hit Game of Thrones is still months away, but HBO has teased fans with about five seconds of new footage from the upcoming season.

The network included the footage into its 2013 Yearender video that looked back on some of the great television it produced in the past calendar year, including True Blood, Veep, The Newsroom and more. Check out the footage in the video below (fast forward to the 1:37 mark to catch the Game of Thrones stuff):

We received glimpses of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) in handcuffs, King Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) sitting and thinking, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) looking at...something, and Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) sporting a short new haircut. There's also someone on a horse riding toward what appears to be an army. Okay, so it's not much, but it's still new footage, so let's get excited, people!

For those of you who want some Season 4 spoilers, George R.R. Martin, who wrote the books on which Game of Thrones is based, revealed in an interview with TV Guide in September that King Joffrey's royal wedding in the upcoming season could be an even bigger affair than the famous Red Wedding that took place in the penultimate episode of Season 3:

"It's going to be the wedding of the year, and as memorable in its own way as our wedding last season...It's what the fans call the Purple Wedding, based on the color of the wine, which plays a big part."

Martin also told the site that the wedding scenes "look spectacular. The bride's dress incorporates roses, there are 77 courses at the dinner feast, and there's some wonderful halftime entertainment."
