One Direction's Louis Tomlinson says girlfriend Eleanor Calder has hard time dealing with his fame, posts Christmas excitement on Twitter

As a member of the biggest boy band in the world, Louis Tomlinson deals with his fame and celebrity status every single day and manages to balance his life out pretty well. It turns out it's not as easy for his longtime girlfriend, Eleanor Calder, to deal with his fame, though. Louis recently opened up about Eleanor and how she's dealt with dating one of the world's biggest heartthrobs over the years.

It should be mentioned that, for just being the girlfriend of Louis, Eleanor has received countless death threats and has had to deal with invasive paparazzi as well as unruly fans. Calder herself has become somewhat of a celebrity thanks to her relationship with Tomlinson, but she spends most of her time out of the spotlight living her normal life.

"I suppose it is tough to deal with," Louis said when asked how Eleanor handles his fame. "She's a great girl and she gets it."

Tomlinson also addressed his own struggle with fame, saying that it gets tough at times but he understands that he's lucky to be where he is.

"You do get those days but you have got to look around and think about how great it is, what we are doing and how much we enjoy it," he said. "Of course you do need that time to be away and see your family and see your girlfriend and that sort of thing."
