Jennifer Lawrence, Joan Rivers beef continues? 'Fashion Police' comedian says 'Hunger Games Catching Fire' starlet needs to 'grow up, calm down' for New Year's
Jennifer Lawrence is one of Hollywood's biggest sweethearts. The "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" beauty was recently named AP's "Entertainer of the Year." But that still doesn't mean "Fashion Police" funny-woman Joan Rivers is a huge fan...
Just last month, Lawrence slammed Rivers' show for "helping to promote a celebrity culture of superficiality and body-shaming." The popular television personality then slammed back, insisting that the Academy Award winning actress was completely "arrogant."
And she's not done bashing the 23-year-old "Silver Linings Playbook" starlet just yet.
In a recent interview with the New York Post, Rivers "jokingly" reveals:
"My New Year's resolution is [ensuring] Jennifer Lawrence grows up and realizes how lucky she is and calms down... I love that she's telling everyone how wrong it is to worry about retouching and body image, and meanwhile, she has been touched up more than a choir boy at the Vatican."
Woah.
"Look at her posters," Rivers continues. "She doesn't have a nose, she has two holes. She just has to learn, don't talk if you're doing it."
Ouch.
Even after all the bashing, Rivers still has respect for Lawrence:
"She's an amazing actress. She's the next Meryl Streep."
Wonder if the "American Hustle" starlet will take that as a compliment after all the negative talk...
