Actress Amanda Seyfried has been working on a specific kind of self-defense the past four months with the trademarked Soteria Method, Gossip Cop recently reported. The moves are designed for females and to follow The Soteria Method, "it doesn't matter how big you are, how strong you are, what your fitness level is," according to Seyfried. So what does matter? "You just need to outsmart the attacker," she says in the below YouTube video. This unique movement for women is headed up by founder Avital Zeisler, a self defense instructor and motivational speaker.

"When I started learning this method I became addicted to it because it's so simple...It makes you feel really empowered. It makes you feel strong," Seyfried adds. The method was designed by Avita Zeisler after surviving sexual assault, when she had to overcome a lot mentally and physically, Seyfried explains.

"I have this confidence that I don't feel I ever had...this is so much more than self defense," Seyfried says. She believe it changed her life and it has the capacity to change every woman's life, because it's one of a kind. Below you can watch Seyfried do the moves and explain more.

Seyfried recently tweeted the video along with Avital Zeisler herself. Zeisler doesn't have a huge social media following at the moment, but after the video goes viral, she's sure to get more followers who are interested in trying the method.

One of the goals, according to Seyfried, is to not have to live in fear.
