This Sunday, January 12th Girls season 3 will premiere on HBO. The show's creator and star Lena Dunham woke up early (something that's hard for her to do) to talk to George Stephanopoulos on ABC's Good Morning America.

Dunham shares that the third season starts off on a high note. "Hannah's in a better place than we've ever seen her before. She's in a committed relationship, she's got a book deal..." Dunham says. "But of course this is Girls so things can't stay good for very long."

When Stephanopoulos asks how Dunham can keep the storyline of struggle feeling fresh when she herself is so "on top of the world," Dunham responds with some interesting remarks about universals among most people. "Luckily I'm really good at tapping into anxiety," she jokes.

Sunday is a huge night for television, with The Golden Globes airing. Dunham talks about last year's "wardrobe malfunction" in addition to the more memorable parts of the evening. Dunham won best actress and the show received the coveted best television series for a comedy.

Toward the end of Dunham's GMA interview, she does a quick question-and-answer game that gets a little "rated-R," in typical Girls fashion. You'll see what we mean when you hear the word "genitals" thrown around. Watch below and let us know, will you be watching Girls and The Golden Globes?
