Maybach Music Group released the video for Rick Ross' single "So Sophisticated" on MTV2 Sunday.

Directed by Dre Films and featuring rapper Meek Mill, it made a splash in social media, becoming a top trending term on Twitter.

The song itself, which contains explicit content, is a single from Ross' upcoming album "God Forgives, I Don't," which is scheduled for release on July 31.

So far, one complaint about the video from fans on Twitter is the shirtless appearance of Ross, although this isn't a big surprise as the rapper has gone shirtless for multiple projects in the past.

"Went to watch the so sophisticated video..turned it off as soon as i saw rick ross with no shirt on," tweeted @jaysmith_.

"Rick Ross's lack of shirt in the So Sophisticated music video is not sophisticated at all," tweeted @Fank_One.

"Why does Rick Ross think it's ok for him to take his shirt off?" tweeted @DariusVsDarius.

Otherwise, the video was generally popular and well received on Twitter.

@ItsJustMariah_ said it was "amazing," even while stating that she would appreciate it if Ross kept his shirt on.

"Whether u want to accept it or not. Rick Ross is one of the best to EVER do it! So Sophisticated! Oooooiiii!!" tweeted ObiOburota.
