Benga retires from dubstep to focus on family
Sad news from the world of dubstep: Benga is retiring to focus on his family. Though not a familiar name to those who cut their teeth on the amped-up wobble of later acts like Skrillex, Benga is considered by many to be one of the pioneers of the bass-heavy, fluctuating style of EDM.
The DJ deleted his Twitter and posted the following to his Facebook page:
"im engage (sic) to Holly-Jae Treadgold the love of my life, my djing career is finished i just wanna start a family. big up to all my real supporters its been a lovely time."
Benga is often mentioned in the same breath as Skream, his slightly more famous frequent collaborator and the artist with whom he formed Magnetic Man. For the record, Skream supports Benga's decision.
Salute to my brother Benga.... It takes a lot to announce something like that. He's been nothing but pure inspiration to me over the years.

Sad day, but Benga has already gifted us with two of the top five greatest dubstep songs of all time. It's safe to say he's given us enough.
Pay your respects below.
