Fans of Jim Parsons and The Big Bang Theory are in for quite a treat. It's just been announced that Parsons will be making his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.

Parsons is slated to make his debut on March 1. The musical guest will be Beck, who is returning for his seventh appearance as musical guest.

If you've seen any episodes of The Big Bang Theory, you know just how funny Parsons really is and if not, you're in for a good laugh. He's made quite a name for himself on The Big Bang Theory and we're sure he'll fit right in with the cast of SNL.

You still have a little time to check out Parsons' sense of humor before he appears on SNL.

On The Big Bang Theory, Parsons plays Sheldon Cooper, a brilliant, but socially awkward physicist. Parsons has won several Emmys and Golden Globe awards for his role on the show.

As for the musical guest, Beck will hit the stage to promote his soon-to-be-released album, Morning Phase.

Earlier this week, NBC sent out this tweet:

"Excited to announce that we'll be returning on March 1st with host, #JimParsons and musical guest, @beck!! #SNL #GetReady"

SNL returned after a winter break with host and musical guest Drake.

This will also mark the first episode of Saturday Night Live since long-timer Seth Myers' departure.
