Today, jurors in Jacksonville, FL. for the Michael David Dunn trial has reached a verdict on 4 out of 5 counts. According to USA Today, jurors said they could not reach a unanimous verdict on Count 1 -- first-degree murder -- or any of the lesser offenses related to it. Dunn, 47, has been on trial for shooting and killing Jordan Davis, 17, in a parking lot over Davis' loud rap music. The jury's deliberations are still ongoing.
Dunn is facing charges of first-degree murder, three counts of first-degree attempted murder, and one count of shooting or throwing a deadly missile.
The Twitter-sphere has been buzzing about the trail and the majority of users are outraged of yet another case in Florida involving the shooting and killing of an unarmed minor by men who feel threatened by the minor. George Zimmerman, 30, made headlines in 2013 for the shooting and killing of Treyvon Martin, 17. Along with #DunnTrial, #JordanDavis and #JusticeforJordan are also linked to this trial. Race is brought into the pictures of these trials because the stereotypical image of an African American male has caused two young, unarmed, African American teens to lose their lives.

Zimmerman followed Trayvon Martin. Dunn approached Jordan. I think Florida needs a "mind your business" law. #DunnTrial — C. Onyeije, M.D. MFM (@chukwumaonyeije) February 15, 2014
Racism aside, this man murdered an unarmed teenager & left & didn't even call the 5-O till the next day. That's not right. #DunnTrial — Sequoyah (@twink_link) February 15, 2014
I can't believe this, but I know I'm not supposed to be shocked at this point. America has made it clear time and again #dunntrial — Respect My Name (@respectmyname) February 15, 2014
He shot at them in their car. They didn't shoot back. He didn't call police; he got pizza & drinks instead. What's to deliberate? #dunntrial — Jeremy Stevens (@JeremyStevens0) February 15, 2014
White privilege is shooting up a car and feeling entitled to just go about your life as if nothing happened. #DunnTrial — Brian Stuart (@red3blog) February 15, 2014

He felt threatened by their loud "thug-like" music, decided they probably had a gun, then shot and killed a teenager. #DunnTrial — Ashley Ford (@iSmashFizzle) February 15, 2014
