The Weeknd, Diplo remix Beyonce's 'Drunk In Love'

Kanye was right, he is a trendsetter. After Yeezy's remix to Beyonce's "Drunk In Love" put a bit of grimeyness in everyone's Valentine's Day, misogynistic sadsack The Weeknd and bubble bass superproducer Diplo had to throw in their own renditions of the King Bey chart-topper.

Abel Tesfaye's reworking sounds like it could've come from his much-lauded House Of Balloons mixtape. It's enough to wash a bit of the bad taste from Kiss Land out of our mouths. The Weeknd has dropped a remix of a Beyonce song that stands up to the original, a rare feat indeed.

Diplo infused the track with booty-clap drums and gibbering samples that build toward a genuine trap breakdown. Particularly great is the section right around 1:54 where he lets all the samples and styles crash into each other (complete with wave sound effects). The Weeknd cut is definitely the winner between the two (IMHO), but Diplo made sure it was close.

What do you think of all the "Drunk In Love" remixes? Is there a clear winner?

Sound off in the comments.
