MStars has breaking news to report. We are now learning that former New Orleans Saints safety, Darren Sharper has turned himself in to Los Angeles authorities.

Sharper is wanted in New Orleans in connection with an alleged rape of two women.

A source told CNN that Gabrielle Union's ex made arrangements to surrender to Los Angeles police and committed to that order without any issues Thursday Feb. 27.

The details are unknown at the time, but Los Angeles police did confirm that the former NFL player was arrested.

According to Fox 8, the New Orleans Parish district attorney's office revealed that  Sharper, 38, and Erik Nunez, 26, each face two counts of aggravated rape.

If convicted, Sharper along with Nunez could be sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Sharper faces New Orleans charges and charges in California. Last week, the former safety pleaded not guilty to the charges he received in California, which included two counts of rape by use of drugs.

There were no comments made at this time by Sharper or Nunez attorney. Prosecutors in Louisiana revealed that the two alleged rapes took place on September 23 in a New Orleans apartment.

The alleged rapes in California happened in October and January of this year, authorities said.

Prosecutors there said Sharper, who became an NFL Network analyst, is also being investigated in Arizona and Nevada.

Police in Tempe, Arizona, are expecting to file charges against Sharper as well.

"We have nothing yet. We anticipate filing charges very shortly and we are still waiting on a couple of results from the crime lab," Sgt. Mike Pooley revealed.

Plus, a Police report shows, a Florida woman filed a sexual battery complaint in Miami Beach against the former New Orleans Saints player, in January referring back to a 2012 incident.

According to the report, the woman was with two friends at a Miami Beach club in September or October 2012 where she and Sharper ran into each other. The woman, her friends and another person joined Sharper back at a condo, where the woman claims the battery incident happened.

According to the Miami Beach Detective Vivian Hernandez, the Miami Beach police are investigating the situation.

A lawyer for Union's ex disputed all the rape allegations last week at his hearing.

"It was all consensual contact with women who wanted to be in his company," Leonard Levine said.
