Just because men did not "come out" while playing sports in his time, this former NFL star seems to know that their was at least one gay player on every single NFL team. According to Deion Sanders gay men have always existed on the field even during his career.

The former Cowboy took to The Arsenio Hall Show last week, with his girlfriend Tracey Edmonds, who is the ex-wife of Babyface.

When Hall and Sanders got on the topic of Michael Sam, who is the first openly gay NFL project, Sanders said,

"He's not the first gay guy in the NFL," Sanders said ... "He's the first one to come out."

"Every team I played on ... I think I played on 5 different teams ... there was someone gay in the locker room."

The "Prime Time" says he and his teammates always could tell who the gay players were and only judged that person based on football skills.

Sanders said, he doesn't "condone nor condemn" homosexuality ... but told Hall, "We just gotta give love."
