One of the most anticipated video games of 2014, Titanfall, is going to be adapted into a television show from developers Respawn and Playfight. Coinciding with the Xbox One game's release this week, we are treated to a new teaser trailer for this exciting new series.

It's clearly not a bad idea to take something that's projected to redefine video gaming into something like a television show, but what can we expect from this venture? From the looks of the teaser trailer below, this is a live-action adaptation that is sure to cost a lot, but Playfight and Respawn are willing to put whatever they can into the project it seems.

"Titanfall is set in a rich near future universe with visceral, epic battles with Pilots and their Titan companions" noted Dusty Welch of Respawn. "We wanted to partner with Playfight, who has a history of delivering movies that meld gameplay, live action and stellar CG into truly entertaining media, for Titanfall."

GammaSquad reports:

As for when this TV series might actually show up... good question. Right now it seems largely to be in the early development stages; while Respawn and Microsoft are full of boundless confidence about the game, committing still more millions to a TV series before the game is out isn't good corporate practice. It seems likely, if the series comes to fruition, that at first it'll be on the Xbox One, considering the exclusive deal Microsoft signed with EA for the game. You go where the audience is, after all.
