Whenever a creative director leaves a video game development company, it isn't exactly huge news, but when Amy Hennig left Naughty Dog to join Visceral Games we were intrigued. Hennig was creative director on the Uncharted gaming franchise, so losing her is a big loss for the company. It turns out it's a huge gain, though, for Star Wars fans because she is now working with Visceral and EA Games on the upcoming titles!

"It's a privilege to have the opportunity to contribute to the Star Wars universe, after it's had such a formative influence on my life," Hennig announced this week.

"Amy has long been recognized as one of our industry's top visionaries, and is coming off an amazing run as the Writer and Creative Director of the Uncharted franchise," said general manager of Visceral, Steve Papoutsis. "I've always admired her approach to creative development - focusing on nailing down the soul of a game first, and then making sure the writing, the gameplay, the design and the art comes together to form a unified, interactive experience for the player. This fits in perfectly with what we're trying to do here at Visceral and Amy's going to help us continue in our pursuit to make the most thrilling, immersive games in the world."

The new Star Wars video game title has yet to be announced, but at least we know it's in talented and successful hands!

Hennig left Naughty Dog in March, where she was in the midst of a new Uncharted title for PlayStation 4.
