The latest episode of The Big Bang Theory depicted Penny's struggle to decide whether or not to take a part in what is sure to be a terrible, low-budget movie to help get her acting career started. In the end, she took the plunge, and now she, and the fans, will get to meet the director of the movie.

The "Matt's Inside Line" column at TVLine reveals that the director is just the kind of person who would make working on this movie more of a nightmare than it already is:

"You know how Penny has been invited to reprise her scream queen role in Serial Ape-ist 2: Monkey See, Monkey Kill? Well, we may actually get to witness the filming. For Episode 23, the CBS hitcom is casting a director who views himself as an 'artist' but has been reduced to directing, well, Serial Ape-ist 2: Monkey See, Monkey Kill."

In related news, The Hollywood Reporter reports Bob Newhart, who won an Emmy for his guest-starring role on the CBS sitcom, will return in the May 1 episode entitled "The Proton Transmogrification," in which the gang celebrates Star Wars Day (in actuality, this event takes place on May 4 each year). Newhart returns in the episode as the recently deceased Professor Proton, who appears to Sheldon as his own Jedi master.

Who do you think will play Penny's director? What do you think will happen when the two work together on the movie set? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
