Welp that was short lived.

Miley Cyrus has given up her new dog Moonie, ten days after receiving the dog as a gift. The dog was a present from Miley's mom, Tish Cyrus to help her daughter cope with the death of her dog Floyd, an Alaskan Klee Kai. Miley was having trouble dealing with her newfound love for new dog, Moonie and her feelings and heartbreak over her old dog Floyd.

She didn't want it to seem that she was replacing Floyd with Moonie, and she just thought that it was too fast to get a new dog. She tweeted last week "I was/still am torn about Moonie bc I would do anything 2 hold Floyd. But I can't. Moonie is giving me so much heart & peace. 1 day @ a time. Just don't know if it's too soon. I still have so much love to give my Floydy."

Miley tweeted the following picture with the caption "Moonie, thank you for giving me so much love, comfort, & peace. It's just too soon for me right now. #missingmoonie."

A fan then tweeted at the singer asking where Moonie would be going to which Miley responded, "my friends mom who has a tiny pup 4 him 2 play with Molly. After what happened I'm scared 2 have a tiny dog," referring to the fact that her previous dog was attacked and killed by coyotes, #moonieandmolly

We hope this decision will bring Miley the peace she needs at this time.
