NBC has officially cancelled 'Community' but Dan Harmon wants to make a movie now. 'Six Seasons and a Movie' falls short
Earlier this week, we asked if NBC had canceled or was in the process of cancelling Community after a series writer hinted at it with some cryptic tweets. We now have the official answer and fans will surely be sad that the mantra "Six Seasons and a Movie" has fallen short by one season. Community has been cancelled by NBC.

According to The Hollywood Reporter:
Community has been a perennial bubble series during the course of its five-season run. The series was one of only two comedies to return to NBC's schedule for the 2014-15 season (Parks and Recreation was the other). The cancellation leaves Parks as NBC's longest-running comedy heading into the 2014-15 season.
This doesn't exactly mean that a sixth season won't happen. Producers could attempt to bring the series to Netflix or Hulu, though NBC is out of the question now.
The show's loyal fans adopted the slogan "Six Seasons and a Movie" a while back, so hopefully something can work out to keep that in tact. If not, "Five Seasons and a Movie" sounds pretty good as well.
Creator Dan Harmon told HitFlix back in March that he's determined to fulfill the mantra.
"If the movie has to be made out of clay and duct tape in my basement, then that's how the movie will be made, because there has to be closure," he said. "The title of the book about the show is not Community, An Interesting Journey into a Show No One Ever Watched. The title of the book is obviously going to be, Six Seasons and a Movie."
