Magic Johnson is speaking out Tuesday after Clippers owner made troubling comments during his CNN interview Monday night with Anderson Cooper.

Sterling accused Johnson of not being a good role model for children in Los Angeles as he falsely accused the former NBA star of having AIDS. Cooper corrected Sterling and told him that Johnson doesn't have AIDS, but is HIV-positive.

"We've got to pray for the man," Johnson said while speaking in an interview with TMZ Tuesday, and on the CNN preview of tonight's interview. "I think we need to get him some help."

Sterling made comments like, "What kind of guy goes to every city, has sex with every girl, then catches" HIV? Sterling told Anderson Cooper. "I think he should be ashamed of himself."

Johnson's interview is scheduled to air Tuesday on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360.

In the released portion of the interview, Johnson says: "He's a man who's upset and he's reaching. He's reaching. He's trying to find something that he can grab on to help him save his team. And it's not going to happen. ... I'm a God-fearing man and I'm going to pray for him and hope things work out for him."
