After months of speculation and a cast reveal that almost disproved rumors, it looks like 12 Years A Slave Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o has officially joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. Though she wasn't part of the original "full" cast reveal earlier this year, it looks like director J.J. Abrams was saving the best for last! Gwendoline Christie of Game of Thrones has also joined the film.

Lupita and Gwendoline will star alongside John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

"I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII,"  Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said in a statement today. "It's thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape."

These photographs taken on the Abu Dhabi set show us some extras in character, looking like the real deal in terms of the Star Wars attire.
