Can Manchester United Sign Luis Suarez From Premier League Rivals Liverpool?

Luis Suarez is one of the deadliest forwards in football, so it goes without saying that any club would want his services. One year ago Liverpool was struggling for success and Arsenal came close to luring the striker away. After a year in which Liverpool became a better proposition than Arsenal, and long- time rivals Manchester United, but could they beat Spanish side Real Madrid to his signature?

Madrid and Suarez have seemed destined for one another for quite some time now. The saga seems reminiscent of the one between Cristiano Ronaldo, Madrid and Manchester United, in which as many predicted, they got their man. Suarez was tipped to leave this summer and last, but after signing a new contract a short while ago, it appears he will remain at Anfield for the foreseeable future.

Arsenal came close to landing him, but now its believed United want him. Surely a could with no European football to offer, albeit a club with a rich history, have no chance of outdoing Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid, right? Probably not, but rumours suggest they might try, and as soccer fans know, if a player's motivated by money, then United can definitely offer a persuasive package.

Suarez is without a doubt one of the world's best footballers, but it would probably take a bid in the region of $130 million to convince Liverpool to part with their star, and if forced to make the sale, then Liverpool would no doubt prefer Luis to move to La Liga, where both Madrid and Barcelona would be the heavy favourites to land the star.

What will happen with Luis Suarez, and at which club should he commit his long-term future to?
