Rebecca Eileen Diebolt Arrested, California Teacher Accused Of 'Sexual Classroom Fling' With Underage Female Student [PHOTO]

Rebecca Eileen Diebolt - a 35-year-old Language Arts teacher from Placentia, California - was arrested earlier this week for allegedly indulging in sexual relations with an underage female student.

Reports confirm that Diebolt was taken into custody on Wednesday (June 11) for allegedly "copulating a person under the age of 18" while working as a teacher and water polo coach at Valencia High School. The inappropriate teacher-student relationship lasted over a span of four years (2004-2008) and allegedly involved multiple instances of sexual penetration.

The victim was only 15 when the relationship started over ten years ago. This unidentified woman just contacted police last week.

According to her testimony, the former student sparked a "casual" friendship with Diebolt that soon turned sexual. Such encounters took place in Diebolt's classroomand home, as well as after school and on weekends. Diebolt is married and officially resides in Brea.

The relationship continued for years, even as the victim graduated and entered college.

Authorities eventually arrested Diebolt at a popular shopping center parking lot off of the East Imperial Highway. She was booked at the Orange County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
