With LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony officially opting out of their contracts, multiple teams have been hounding the superstar athletes. Due to their perfect timing, the Los Angeles Lakers team is thinking about putting the free agents pair on their roster for next season.

The superstar's agent, Rich Pawl, informed the Miami Heat that the NBA's most valuable player will exercise his early termination option and became a free agent on July 1. Until a better offer comes up from the Heat by June 30, the major athlete might decide to leave the team.

In a statement to the press, Heat president Pat Riley explains James' departure, "We fully expected LeBron to opt out and exercise his free agent rights, so this does not come as a surprise. As I said at the press conference last week, players have a right to free agency and when they have these opportunities, the right to explore their options."

You can obviously tell the NBA star is still reeling from the season-ending loss to the San Antonio Spurs. If James decides to leave, teams are already lining up to grab the free agent. Multiple sources have told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets are exploring their options to land the famous basketball player.

Even the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks are gearing up to make an offer, but this time, to both James and New York Knicks star, Anthony.  Both NBA stars have been friends since they met at a USA Basketball event in 2001. Shelburne also reports the Lakers are trying to free up room to offer both players $16 million contract.

Everything is up for grabs now that LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony are opting out from their supposed teams. Readers, do you think there's a chance James and Anthony will play in the same team together?
