Sitting down for a Q&A interview with Elle Magazine to promote his new album x, pop singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran got the opportunity to answer some Twitter questions from fans. He spoke about Taylor Swift, his new music and losing his virginity. Wait, what? Find out how this personal topic came up!

Sheeran answered the normal questions, or course, like what his favorite quality in a woman is ("A sense of humor. I think that's key for any long-lasting relationship.") and what inspires his song-writing ( "Life experience. Every song I've written-apart from the song for The Hobbit-has been from life experience."), but when a fan brings up his selling out Madison Square Garden three times, the interview makes a turn.

"What felt better: That or losing your virginity?" the interviewer asked.

"Probably selling out Madison Square Garden three times," Sheeran said, then explained: "[Losing my virginity] was a benchmark in my life, but it wasn't the best thing I've ever done."

So now you know a bit more about Ed Sheeran!

The singer went on to answer many more questions from his fans.

"There's a new song on the record called 'Thinking Out Loud,'" he said when asked which of his tunes is the most meaningful to him. "The second verse says, 'When my hair's all gone and my memories fade, and I don't remember my name, when my hands don't play the strings the same way, will you still love me the same?' It's important to find someone who is into you for you."
