Miami Heat's Erik Spoelstra Hits Out At NBA & LeBron James For Joining Cleveland Cavaliers

It's been a matter of days since LeBron James took his talents from the Miami Heat and returned to his one-time team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, but coach Erik Spoelstra has finally had his say. Despite trying to seem content with the decision, it's clear to see he's hurting, and the Heat, nor Erik, seen LeBron's departure coming. How will they compete within the NBA without James?

Spoelstra said "We don't have any regrets. He shouldn't have any regrets. It was a historic four-year run. This is a big, monumental change that we didn't necessarily anticipate but you have to respect it because when you're a free agent in this league you have the right to make a decision that's best for you and your family. When he made that decision that was best for his family, where his heart is, all you can do from our side is respond with respect and love."

Erik admitted there was nerves across the Heat's front office, at least until they resigned Chris Bosh. The Heat failed to learn from LeBron's arrival, and now they will have to rebuild from scratch like the Cavaliers did four years ago. In some sense, a return home was the only option, but the Heat seemingly got lost within their winning circle, and didn't dream he'd leave for a losing team, albeit his home-town team.

Can the Heat bounce back from the devastation caused by James' exit? At least they won't have to worry about him choking in the finals, however, it might be a long time before they experience the finals again, which may just be the hardest thing for them to swallow.
