Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Cameos and References Revealed

James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy movie will expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the far reaches of space, and the director has said the film contains approximately four times as many characters as any other Marvel movie. So it should be no surprise, then, that the movie contains numerous cameos and references, and a new report claims to know them.

Stitch Kingdom posted the following spoilers about the movie's cameos, including Stan Lee and Nathan Fillion:

Otherwise, here's what we've learned: Stan Lee will have his customary cameo, this time as the 'Xandarian Ladies' Man;' browncoat favorite Nathan Fillion will be dolled up as 'Monstrous Inmate;' musician Rob Zombie lends his voice as the 'Ravager Navigator Voice;' and writer/director James Gunn himself will appear in the film as one of the 'Maskless Sakaaran.' Howard the Duck is somewhere to be found in the film. This inference comes from a line in the end titles that credits co-creators Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik. Also in the film, though not a cameo, is actor Fred the dog who assumes the role of Cosmo.

The Howard the Duck reference is certainly odd, but this is going to be a wacky movie anyway, so it should fit. Gunn has said Fillion did a favor for him as a friend by appearing in the movie, so his "Monstrous Inmate" cameo should be a crowd pleaser.
