The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Floyd Mayweather have busy schedules all year round, but it seems they've had time for one another, with the pair developing a friendship. Ronaldo is currently preparing this Real Madrid side to face his former side Manchester United, and then arch rival Lionel Messi before you know it, whilst Money Mayweather is readying himself for his rematch against Marcos Maidana. Can two of the greatest sport icons the world's ever seen help to elevate one another's games? Ronaldo posted a picture of the pair together, so perhaps this could be the beginning of a great new sporting friendship.

Both Ronaldo and Mayweather are arguably the two greatest athletes on the planet, so it is interesting to think how they could help one another in the gym, implementing fitness tips provided from one another. The pair recently took time out of their training schedules to meet and hang out on Saturday, and Ronaldo was quick to post a picture to all of his social media accounts.

The picture had the words "Nice to hang out with the champ" posted alongside it, showing the respect the elite soccer star has for the unbeaten boxer. Can Ronaldo top his old club, and more importantly, can he trump his nemesis Messi? Mayweather recently beat Maidana, but he will be hoping it's the same outcome in their upcoming fight.

Could be the greatest sporting friendship of all time, and which is the better athlete? It's a tough choice indeed.  Readers, what do you think?
