Though the action-packed series, 24, was the most watched program on Fox, Freddie Prinze Jr. (I Know What You Die Last Summer) almost threw in the towel because of leading man, Kiefer Sutherland. Being under the clock with the 24: Live Another Day star almost drove the She's All That actor to quit acting.

During the eighth season, the Scooby-Doo actor played Cole Ortiz, a CTU field operative stationed in New York. Upon hearing chatter about an upcoming terrorist attack, Cole joined forces with retired agent Jack Bauer (Sutherland) to stop doomsday from happening. 24 fans should remember Jack saved Cole's life many times, especially from his traitorous fiancé.

Though Bauer and Ortiz earned each other's respect on the show, it really wasn't like that with their real-life counterparts. The Summer Catch star hated every moment of the unpleasant TV experience, mostly due to its main star.

Prinze bitterly reminisces to ABC News, ""Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world. That's not me talking trash. I'd say it to his face." The Mass Effect voice actor continues, "I think everyone that's worked with him has said that."

While the Psych guest star confesses he wanted to leave show business for good, the Young Guns actor continued on with the series, with its latest season, 24: Live Another Day

Sutherland's representatives have responded back to ABC News about the negative comments.

Sutherland's rep states, "Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze, Jr. more than 5 years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie's grievances." The agent adds, "Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best."

As reported here, The Lost Boys actor was at San Diego Comic-Con, promoting the upcoming DVD/Blu-Ray release for 24: Live Another Day,

Freddie Prinze Jr. doesn't have any fond memories of working with his 24 co-star Kiefer Sutherland. Readers, which side are you on?
