Kell Brook: Shawn Porter: Boxing Feud: IBF World Welterweight Belt: Sheffield's Own Is Ready To Take On Cleveland's Champion: Which Undefeated Boxer Will Win?
Boxing is set to witness one of the most exciting fights of 2014 and possibly ever, when England's Kell Brook, from Sheffield, takes on America's Shawn Porter, from Cleveland. The duo will fight for Porter's IBF world welterweight title belt, and adding even more excitement to the mix, both of these fighters are undefeated. The two are enjoying an ongoing feud, with a war of words being exchanged before they exchange punches. Cleveland lack champions, but in Porter they have one, so, can he continue to represent his city, or will Brook prove he's championship worthy.
Porter talks as if he's confident, but so far there have been a lot of mind games. It's not working, according to Brook, who insisted, when speaking to Sky Sports, that "We knew that from the start - we knew they would be playing games because for them it is high risk, low reward. They wouldn't want to fight Kell Brook if they had the chance - but because I'm mandatory I am on their case and they have to fight me. They have been messing about with the dates and stuff but we expected it. So that means we have kept on training, we weren't distracted from it, so here we are now."
Brook has been waiting an opportunity like this for a long while, and he believes he's ready. He explained "I'm in a great place because I know I what I have got in the bank. I'm confident because I know what I have put in - what you put in is what you get out and that's why I'm smiling. On paper it looks a close fight and I think it will be. Shawn Porter is a champion for a reason and in his previous fights you could see why. So I'm definitely going to have my hands full, but that's what we expect and I'm looking forward to this challenge - and as my record proves I like to win."
It's going to be a stunning fight, and it takes place on August 16 2014, so don't miss it.
