Paul George Breaks His Silence After Terrible Basketball Injury; NBA Player Tweets His Fans "Thanks Everybody" As Floyd Mayweather Visits Him In The Hospital

Paul George is recovering and making a positive progress after suffering one of the most horrific leg injuries in NBA history on August 1, during the Team USA Basketball scrimmage in Las Vegas.

After media played the gruesome leg break over and over again, George, 24, finally broke his silence and let everyone know how he is doing.

The Indiana Pacers star tweeted his fans, "Thanks everybody for the love and support.. I'll be ok and be back better than ever!!! Love y'all!! #YoungTrece"

He also received a visit from boxing champ, Floyd Mayweather. The 24-year-old showed his fans that he was in good spirits as he posed in his hospital bed alongside Mayweather, as seen in the photo above.

George wrote, "Appreciate the champ @floydmayweather visiting me in the hospital.. Gave me some great advice and kept my spirits high!! Appreciate you once again big bro! #TBE #TMT"

According to Hollywood Life, Paul fractured his tibia, and fibula bones in his lower right leg, after he jumped to block a shot by James Harden and hit the base of basket, twisting and broking his leg instantly. Details are unknown at this time, if George will recover to be eligible to play basketball again.

On Aug. 2 USA Basketball revealed that the 24-year-old will stay in the hospital for three days, following his major surgery. Marc J. Spears of Yahoo tweeted, "Paul George had a good surgery. No ancillary damage" was discovered.

A source revealed to Yahoo! Sports that George is most likely to be out for the 2014-2015 season.
