Frank Maloney, Lennox Lewis & David Price: Male Boxing Legend Becomes Woman Called Kellie & Wants Operation To Confirm It
The boxing world has had some shocking news regarding one of the sports legends, Frank Maloney. It has emerged that the star, who guided Lennox Lewis to become undisputed world heavyweight champion, is now going by the name Kellie Maloney, and wants an operation to become female. The star had been working with boxing prospect David Price, but seemingly the sport and his normal life, was no longer apart of who he truly was. Months after retiring from boxing he has shocked the world, but as expected he has received a lot of support.
Maloney had heart problems over the past few years, and gave up boxing, citing "falling out of love with the sport", as his reason. The real reason was apparently entirely different, he wanted to prepare for his new life, as a woman. After retiring he said "For the last year I have gradually fallen out of love with boxing and my passion has been missing. I did much soul searching over the summer and my heart is no longer in the sport that I loved so much. If I continued as his promoter it would be unfair as I cannot give the commitment and love for the sport that is needed to get his career back on track."
Maloney continued "I no longer got the buzz I used to get. It has also been a tough time for me personally and I feel a lot more at ease with myself by reaching this decision." Many believed his love of the game was untouchable, so this revelation has cleared up some of the confusion.
Was Maloney one of boxing's most important figures to ever step in the ring, and can Price reach the same level of success as Lewis without Maloney?
