This week the first teaser trailer for Resident Evil: Revelations 2 hit the Internet, exploding in excitement for the game. Though it didn't show any gameplay, the makers of the game recently explained that it actually showed a plethora of spoilers and references to the actual in-game story. Did you catch any of them?

In a new interview with Weekly Famitsu, the team behind the game explained that this teaser trailer was indeed full of references.

"That video was a 'concept teaser' and is a real-life video of the content of the game," Michiteru Okabe said.

The team went on to explain that we all saw some huge spoilers in this teaser trailer.

"From a development perspective, there's so much in the teaser that I thought, 'can we really show this much? Won't people figure this out?'" said Masachika Kawata.

Director Yasuhiro Anpo added: "From each individual person to the background and props, there's hardly anything [in the teaser] that doesn't hold meaning. Normally when putting references in a video, I often say 'hey, this would be a spoiler!' and put a stop to it, but this time I decided to hold back and be generous."

While this might be news to most of us, the YouTube description of this new teaser pretty much told us exactly what was going on with the spoilers.

"Hidden secrets beckon to be discovered by anyone with eyes and wits sharp enough to find them," it states.
