Everyone's favorite strange human being Jeff Goldblum dropped by NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers last night. During his panel, the actor sang and taught the audience fan-written lyrics to the theme of the 1993 hit Jurassic Park.

Goldblum, of course, costarred in the film alongside Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Richard Attenborough. It was directed Steven Spielberg and written by Michael Crichton and David Koepp.

Noting that he didn't actually write the lyrics, he merely found them online – from someone he "know not whom" – and pulled one snippet from the track, the actor explained that there's an entire lyrics sheet that goes along with the masterful tune. And though he only learned one piece, he gladly took to the mic to perform it.

Watch Goldblum's performance of the Jurassic Park theme below:

Backed by Kimberly Thompson of the 8G Band, Goldblum delivered a humorous rendition of the tune with the lyrics: "In Jurassic Park / Scary in the dark / I'm so scared that I'll be eaten."

After performing the song for Meyers and the audience, the actor had everyone join in. And like he guessed, it did indeed provide some enjoyment ... for us, at least.

Meyers immediately joked, "I will say, all things being equal, I think it was probably right not to have the lyrics in the actual film."

Disagreeing, Goldblum added, "Really? I think it was a big mistake."

So, was this bizarre or genius? It's hard to tell. Then again, the same goes for Jeff Goldblum. But hey, if he cares enough after over two decades to perform a piece from a film he back in the '90s, he can't be all-bad.
