Forbes Magazine has named DJ Pauly D, infamously known for his Gym, Tan, Laundry days on the hit MTV reality show "Jersey Shore," the seventh highest paid DJ in the world.

Following his instant "Jersey Shore" fame, Paul DelVecchio (stage name Pauly D) now pulls in approximately $40,000-$50,000 per DJ gig. Over the past year he has managed to earn a whopping $11 million, which has helped earn him the no. 7 spot on Forbes' first-ever top-earning DJ list. DJ Pauly D earns the big bucks by performing at major club gigs, private parties, and he even opened for Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale Tour.

According to Forbes, "We included [DJ Pauly D] on this list because, like his fellow Electronic Cash Kings, he makes at least half his cash from DJ gigs."

Topping off the Forbes list is Dutch-born DJ Tiesto, who can make as much as a quarter million dollars with just one gig (annual pay, $22 million). Skrillex comes in second with a $15 million payday, and Swedish House Mafia (who announced their disbandment in June 2012) brings in a stellar $14 million.

Pauly D, 32, started off as a small-town DJ in Rhode Island, playing rounds at the popular Club Ultra in Providence. Now just a few years later, thanks to his MTV fame and recognition, he is considered among the world's most elite DJs. He currently holds reoccurring shows in both Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He even stars in his own MTV reality spinoff show "The Pauly D Project" which follows his career as a world renowned DJ (the show debuted this past March).

In August of last year, it was announced that DJ Pauly D had signed a three album record deal with rapper 50 Cent on his label G-Unit Records and G-Note Records.  Pauly D also sent out a tweet this past July claiming that he was currently in the studio with Big Sean working on his newest album, which will be released later this year or in early 2013.
