Ready for a refreshing iced coffee beverage... with a wacky twist?

Try this new Potluck recipe!

Iced coffee is great on its own, but it can be even better as a brunch cocktail. We went to Fung Tu to learn their recipe for the Bing Bing, a cocktail made with cold-brew coffee, absinthe, coffee liqueur and maraschino cherries.

Sounds delish... just make sure fans are 21+ before giving this cocktail a try, of course.

Ready for some cool facts?

Coffee:

- The popular caffeine drink actually derives from a pit located inside of a berry (aka, coffee cherries). The edible fruit actually resembles a bean.

- Hawaii is the only state in the USA that actually grows coffee.

- Approximately 100 cups of coffee would result in a potentially lethal caffeine overdose.

- WWII fighters abroad actually popularized the term "Americano" - they would order espresso made with water, because it was too strong.

- New York is truly the city that never sleeps - people in this state drink about seven times more than the rest of the world on average.

Absinthe:

- Made from wormwood, a rather powerful hallucinogenic drug (thujone).

- The Temperance Movement began a "quest" against the sale and consumption of Absinthe.

- The 124-proof drink is actually green in color.

- The controversial alcohol is indeed legal in the USA (since 2007).

- REAL Absinthe should not be lit on fire.

Enjoy!
