Model Cara Delevingne is taking a break from the catwalk and trying her hand in Hollywood. The 22-year-old is now a lead actress, landing a role in the upcoming film, Paper Towns.

According to Variety, Cara is in talks to star in John Green's (who wrote Fault In Our Stars) adaption of Paper Towns alongside Nat Wolff, who is the male lead named Quentin.

"Fox 2000 seems to want to stay in business with the model-turned-actress, as she is also in talks to star in its Beach Boys inspired 'All Summer Long.' She most recently wrapped production on the Warner Bros. film 'Pan,'" Variety reported.

The young adult novel turned film, will have Cara as its lead actress, playing Margo Roth Spiegelman. "Towns follows a teen named Quentin (Wolff) who has had a crush on his neighbor Margo (Delevingne) since they were kids, but they grew apart as they got older," The Hollywood Reporter explained about the storyline.

"When Margo recruits him for some acts of rebellion and revenge, he finds himself getting close to her again only to lose her when she suddenly disappears."

Writer John Green shared his excitement for Cara joining the cast on Twitter today. "Cara Delevingne's audition blew everyone away (including me!) and she understands Margo profoundly. I am so excited!" he tweeted.

Cara is a British model, who has been the face of Burberry, worked for Oscar de la Renta, Fendi and TopShop. This is her first lead role as an actress, but not her first time in front of the camera. She costarred in The Face of an Angel, with Kate Beckinsale and Daniel Bruhl and is set to appear in Tulip Fever. She also has a small role in Pan (which is an upcoming film from Warner Bros.).

The film is slated to be released on July 31 and will be directed by Jake Schreier
