Adam Driver Refuses To Watch ‘Girls’ But Lena Dunham Agrees To Watch ‘Star Wars’

Girls stars Adam Driver and Lena Dunham made a pact, but only one of them is sticking with it. Girls creator Lena Dunham (who plays Hannah Horvath) made a pact with her onscreen love interest Adam Driver (who plays Adam Scakler), but he isn't ready to live up to his end of the deal.

The two actors agreed that if Lena watches Star Wars, then Adam will watch Girls. Even though Adam is a part of the Girls cast, he has never watched the show. The 30-year-old actor is going to star in the new Star Wars movie (which will be directed by J.J. Abrams), so Lena (who has never seen the films) thought it was the perfect trade.

"The funny thing is I've never actually seen Star Wars," Lena told E! News. "I understand that this is a huge cultural phenomenon but I get none of the references. As a young woman growing up in New York City it's actually not that hard to avoid Star Wars. It's not that hard to move out of Star Wars circles."

Because of Adam's casting in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, Lena will get the chance to watch the famous films, as long as he finally watches their TV show.

"Now I'm going to have to watch- to understand. Adam's never watched Girls so we made a deal I would watch Star Wars if he watched Girls. We can commune about it like a book club," she revealed.

E! News talked to Adam on Monday, but he didn't seem to be in on board with Lena's book club meets movie watching plan. "I don't think so," the actor said about the pact at the premiere of This is Where I Leave You in Los Angeles. "I'm trying to delay that as much as possible," he added.
