'Dumb And Dumber To' Extended Trailer Released: Jim Carrey New Career Comeback?
"I like it, I like it a lot!"
The movie that made those immortal words a household phrase is back! Dumb and Dumber fans can rejoice with the news that the trailer for the sequel to the hit comedy was just released featuring original stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels.
The sequel, Dumb and Dumber To, features old buddies Harry and Lloyd on a journey to find Harry's long-lost daughter because he needs her kidney (plus Lloyd has a crush on her). The two haven't spoken in 20 years because Lloyd has been playing a prank on Harry by pretending to be in coma for all those years.
Kathleen Turner also co-stars with a cameo from Oscar-winner and The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence.
It's been exactly 20 years since the first movie came out and we couldn't be more excited. The original grossed more than $247 million worldwide and was the sixth-highest grossing movie of 1994. This could be the comeback directing duo the Farrelly brothers need after years of films tanking at the box office.
It could also be a big comeback for star Jim Carrey who hasn't had a hit movie in years. His last few releases including Mr. Popper's Penguins, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and Kick-Ass 2 have all failed to bring him the success he enjoyed in the 90's.
However, Jeff Daniels has been riding a wave of success with HBO drama The Newsroom. The show, which will premiere its third and final season November 9, earned him an Emmy last year for best actor. We'll see if that success will translate to Dumb and Dumber To.
The film is slated to open November 14, 2014. Watch the new extended trailer here:
