With Ryan Gosling welcoming his first child (with girlfriend Eva Mendes) and resident Hollywood bachelor George Clooney getting married (he is tying the knot this weekend), it seems fitting that Hollywood's leading man Bradley Cooper is ready for kids.

The Silver Linings Playbook actor recently revealed to Square Mile magazine that he would love to be a dad. "I would love to be a father one day," the 39-year-old actor said.

"I'm sorry my father won't be around to see his grandchildren, but he knows fatherhood was something I was looking forward to. That's my next big step in life," The Hangover star explained to the publication.

Bradley is currently dating British model Suki Waterhouse, whom he took as his date to the 2014 Academy Awards. "I had such a great time. I loved it. It was a lot of fun," Suki told E! Online at the Governors Ball after-party in March. "I got to eat some pizza during the show. Not bad!" she added referencing host Ellen DeGeneres' mid-show pizza delivery.

The Hollywood hunk also opened up about his struggle with acting and how he got where he is today. "I struggled for a long time, and you never forget what you went through to finally make it," Bradley revealed in his Square Mile interview.

"Even with the success I've had, I still fight for roles that I don't wind up getting, so there's still enough uncertainty to keep you hungry. There's this crushing anxiety you feel when you're not getting the parts you want, and you wonder if acting is your destiny."

With roles like Richie DiMaso in American Hustle and Pat in Silver Linings Playbook, it is clear that acting was what Bradley was meant to do. Many of his successful films have included his friend and costar Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley admits he really enjoys working with her.

"We've had so much fun working together, and I'm so proud of her success. She's one of the most down to earth and unpretentious individuals you could ever meet, and it's such a pleasure to spend time with her," he said.

The full interview can be found in the October issue of Square Mile, out 7 October.
