During the season two premiere of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, ABC was also teasing their upcoming spy series, Marvel's Agent Carter. This is the perfect opportunity to check out what's in store for Haley Atwell's Peggy Carter before she makes her official TV debut.

As mentioned here, the first season takes place after Captain America: The First Avenger. The eight-episode arc follows Peggy as she returns to the states after serving her time in World War II. Here are 5 ways Carter's appearance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. sets up the action-packed tone for Agent Carter.

1) The Howling Commandos

In the opening, we saw Peggy front-and-center leading the Howling Commandos in the raid of the Nazi compound. Because we saw Neal McDonough (Dum Dum Dugan) and Kenneth Choi (Jim Morita) reprising their First Avenger roles, does this mean they will reappear again in Agent Carter? Could Peggy call them in for backup on her missions?

2) Daniel Whitehall

Reed Diamond played Daniel Whitehall, the Nazi war criminal who took over after Red Skull. In the comics, Whitehall is also known as Kraken, an infamous Hydra agent. Since he has showed up in the present day, we can safely assume he is an immortal. Could he be the main antagonist in Agent Carter?

3) Aliens

Entertainment Weekly spotted a blue alien contained in one of SSR packs. The blue alien suggests someone from the Kree race, like a relative of Ronan the Accuser, from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Does this mean Carter has to save the world from an alien invasion?

4) S.H.I.E.L.D.

In the Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter, we know Carter and Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) will eventually become the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D. Inspired by the takedown of the Hydra post, Carter realizes, "Someone needs to establish a permanent unit during peacetime."

5) Howard Stark

Speaking of Howard Stark, did she just mention Iron Man's father during her dialogue? Though it was hinted at before, does that officially means we're going to see Cooper return in his role in the eight-episodes?

The second season premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. left clues of Peggy Carter's upcoming adventures. Readers, are you excited to see Agent Carter during the mid-break?
