Aaron Hernandez & Michael Phelps: Former NFL Star & Elite Swimmer Face Longer Jail Sentence & Rehab? Link Between Big Money & Trouble?

Nobody would set out to compare Aaron Hernandez and Michael Phelps with one another, however the former NFL star and the Olympic icon are both in the news for all the wrong reasons. This makes the world wonder, did their respective sports and big wages bring them trouble, or were they destined for trouble regardless? More than ever, people are studying the link between sports and its troubled athletes with Hernandez's latest letter, and Phelps heading to rehab, it only adds to the debate.

It's been revealed that Aaron has been sending a lot of written letters to pen pals, in which he's drawing naked women on them. In this letter he insisted: "I'm on the block here lovin' it.  I got my own cell too and n**ga. I'm out all day only lock in 4 [hours] a day ... So we be ballin'."

He even seemed agreesive when talking about Harry Potter. He continued: "You know, my realest n*gga I ever fucked with, I'm still fuckin' with -- Harry motha fuckin' Potter."

Phelps on the other hand, has revealed he is off to rehab, and he seems remorseful for his DUI arrest. His letter reads: "I am extremely disappointed with myself. I'm going to take some time away to attend a program that will provide the help I need to better understand myself. Swimming is a major part of my life, but right now I need to focus my attention on me as an individual, and do the necessary work to learn from this experience and make better decisions in the future."

Will Hernandez ever get out of jail, and can Phelps get his life back on track? Now more than ever the eyes are closely locked on sports stars and their way of living.
