Stephen Collins's personal and professional lives are in shambles after the release of a damning audio in which he admits to molesting young girls. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 7th Heaven star has been fired from Ted 2, the sequel to the hit comedy by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane.

Representatives for the film confirmed he won't be in the movie anymore, but they didn't give any other details on his involvement in the project. They said, according to EW, that Collins's role was "small enough to remove without any major disruption or rewrites of the project."

The actor's part in the movie had never been confirmed, but he did give a hint when asked about if he was in the sequel on his Twitter.

He tweeted:

And then he replied to another comment: "Movie. Sequel to...(guess...ok, give up?)...Ted."

As MStars News had reported, TMZ posted an audio recording today of the former WB star making shocking statements about sexually abusing underage girls.

Some incidents he cops to include molesting "a couple of times" a relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman, and two other victims in New York or Los Angeles who were 12 or 13 when it happened.

TMZ also reported the actor resigned from the board of the Screen Actors Guild before the end of his three-year term.

The NYPD is investigating the alleged crimes, telling Us Weekly that "there is a formal complaint on file and the incident is being investigated by the Manhattan Special Victims Squad."
