Johnny Manziel, Brian Hoyer: Former Texas A&M QB Nothing But A Money Man For Cleveland Browns' NFL Marketing Plan?

It's week 6 of the 2014 NFL season, and Brian Hoyer is still the starting QB for the Cleveland Browns. Many predicted that Johnny Manziel would become the started before the season began, or soon in to the season, however, so far he's been nothing but a showman, and a piece of the marketing plan for the Browns. One can wonder, was this the plan all along, or will the former Texas A&M QB come good and become their franchise QB? He has just sold his autographed Nissan for stunning money, yet again raising the question, why?

A while ago news broke that Manziel was auctioning off his signed Nissan truck, and now it has sold for around $43K, when it was only valued at around $32k, meaning his autograph added thousands on the value. One can wonder why? A stunning college career has been followed by nothing but drama, and he cannot even get the starting job away from Hoyer, so why is he bringing so much money to the table?

Would Hoyer's truck even go for the same price? Probably not, yet he's the one delivering game-winning TD for the Browns. Manziel has also sold thousands of Browns jerseys with his name across the back, even though he's yet to much of anything while wearing an NFL jersey.

Is the hyper over Manziel simply too much, or in the future, will this all be a worthy investment if he begins to stun the NFL with the heroics he often showcased during his NCAA days?
