Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook: Oklahoma City Thunder Stars Face Injury & Rumored NBA Trade?

The Oklahoma City Thunder have one goal, and one goal only, and that's to win an NBA title. However, it seems the basketball world is out to get them. They've had one problem after another for what seems like years. Today it got a whole lot worse. First Kevin Durant was listed as injured, and his fractured foot will see him miss plenty of action, possibly until Christmas. On top of that, OKC are considering trading Westbrook. Could the Thunder survive without the two men they've so heavily relied upon over the years?

The Thunder are seen as a championship favourite yet again, but this injury will see that all change in a drop of a coin. The Thunder will still make the playoffs, and should Durant come back healthy and raring to go, then they may have a chance to win games. However, until then, many things could happen. This is without considering the possible trade of their guard Westbrook.

Durant is considered to be the player that takes them from good to great, and without his leadership, they may suffer worse than they'd ever imagine. When a superstar leaves a team for good, the team restructures. With this injury absence, OKC will purely have to adapt and make do without him, meaning they may well suffer even worse than they'd like to admit possible.

Will OKC survive without Durant, and will they trade Westbrook for assets? Maybe they'll be looking at a lottery pick next season after all.
