Chrisette Michele is feeling powerful and she is letting the world know with her recently released single "Super Chris." The soulful singer recently stopped by Global Grind's No Judgment Zone with BlogXilla, to show off her new single. In her interview, Chrisette talked about how her style has changed, growing up in Long Island, and her thoughts on living in a "Rihanna and Beyonce" world.

While talking about her single, Chrisette shared that a lot of the inspiration for the song came from her experiences while filming for reality show, "R&B Divas."

"I was doing the reality series, and a lot of the stuff that I was feeling, I just put the pen to the pad and got it off my chest. The reality show gave me a lot of inspiration. When you're with six women, and everyone has a very vibrant personality, you kinda decide, I can only be myself."

Chrisette then addressed her transformation throughout the years in her career, and personal life. When asked, "Who is Chrisette Michele?" she responded:

"It would take me 31 years to explain that because every single day she evolves, but I am simple, I am from Long Island, New York, where the grass is really green. I mean that metaphorically and literally. I just had a great childhood, my parents gave me whatever I needed to succeed."

BlogXilla proceeded to ask Chrisette about her place in a "Rihanna and Beyonce" world.

"In America alone there are 300 million people. I have all of Rihanna CDs, I have all of Beyonce CDs, and I have all of my CDs. They all fit on my iPod."

She also goes on to say that her fans are eclectic and seem to like a wide range of music, who listen to Beyonce, Coldplay and many more.

"We live in a new world that can really love all of these different types of things."

In other words, there is always room for fans to support more than one artist. Chrisette does not feel threatened in the least bit.

"I think the world is changing with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Solange and Miguel, that are a little left of center, still in the 'Pop' eye, but still doing whatever the hell they want, and that's who I am."
