It's official! "Wanderlust" co-stars Jennifer Aniston and hubby Justin Theroux announced their engagement over the weekend, confirming rumors that have been swirling ever since Aniston sported some new bling on her ring finger back in March.

In a statement made to People magazine, Theroux's rep claims, "Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage."

Aniston's rep also later confirmed the good news.

The celebrity couple had known each other for years, but didn't start dating until after meeting up on the set for the romantic comedy "Wanderlust" back in May 2011.

Although this will be Theroux's first marriage, it will be Aniston's second, after a very public breakup with ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2005 (who shortly after started dating actress Angelina Jolie).

Rumors of a Pitt-Angelina wedding over the weekend appear to be false, although the couple have been engaged for four months and are supposedly planning to tie the knot at their Chateau Miraval in south France.

During an "MTV First" interview with Aniston earlier this year, the "Friends" star said about boyfriend Theroux, "What I think is so awesome about Justin is that he really just disappears. He sort of morphs into things, into characters and also has a leading-man quality, which I think is beautiful. He's just great."
