Khloé Kardashian has been at the center of paternity rumors for years. News broke earlier last week that O.J. Simpson and Lionel Richie were speculated to have fathered the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star. But today one of Khloé's rumored fathers is denying any claims he's related to her.

Richie spoke out to Radar Online, saying he didn't father the famous offspring.

"No, of course not!" the singer explained to the news site. "No, I'm not the dad."

But while he might not have played a part in creating Khloé, he still sees himself as a fatherly figure to the star.

"But you know what, they are my kids," Richie said. "They grew up in my house."

Lionel's daughter, Nicole Richie, grew up with the Kardashian girls as Kris and Lionel were close during the 1980s. This closeness spawned paternity rumors when claims that Kris had cheated on her husband with the music star were revealed last week.

As we reported earlier, an insider told Radar, "Everyone was sleeping around with everyone else back then, and Kris was hot in those days," mentioning that Richie, "was on the outs with his wife at the time."

Another source told the news site that Richie often "bragged about" being with Kris since she was so "hot" in those days.

The rumors that Richie fathered Khloé started when critics noticed the similarities between Khloé's facial features and Lionel's 16-year-old daughter Sofia's looks.

But any similarities between the two daughters is just coincidence as Kris is still maintaining that Robert Kardashian Sr., who died in 2003, is Khloé's father.
