Katy Perry and ghd: 'Wide Awake' Star Gets Classy and Glam for Beauty Ad

Katy Perry drops her multi-colored hair and cupcake-inspired cat suits for a classier, more sophisticated look in her latest ghd hair styling brand campaign photos.

This is pop singer Katy Perry's third appearance in the ghd ad campaign - a U.K. based hairstyle brand that specializes in hair straightening products.

The ad collection, which can be viewed here and on the ghb website, picture Perry with a sleek, jet-black hairdo' donning breezy and elegant dresses. Perry appears beautifully natural in the black-and-white images, where she dons different simple and practicable hairstyles. In the first campaign image Perry is photographed smiling during a game of chess, rocking a silky mane with short, straight bangs. The second photo finds Perry swinging from a chandler, her long locks waving gently over her shoulders. And in the third snapshot the "Wide Awake" singer is caught pondering at her reflection in a vanity mirror, her hair swept over into a wispy side ponytail.

Perry said in a statement released earlier this week, "It was fun to go a more natural route after playing characters in my last ghd campaign. Ellen captured both the playful and chic looks amazingly well."

The latest ghd campaign ad was shot by photographer Ellen von Unwerth. International hairstylist Danilo created all of Katy's glamorous looks using the ghd gold series technology.
